Amulets

Let's See What We Have Here Amulets are a critical component of all Stoneprints designs. I have collected on my travels for years but find that in the 21st century they are becoming increasingly scarce. Many amulets are surviving cultural antiquities traded centuries ago in a wonderful connection called the “silk trade route”. The historical influences on design were shared from West to East around the world and brought disparate populations together for trade. I am hoping to forge new horizons with Stoneprints that will make a global connection inspiring peaceful and educational interaction and conservation. The thesis for my Masters degree focused attention on women in the Third World who strive to keep ancient artistry alive in the modern world. I honor them with Stoneprints by only working with natural stones from the Earth as a fitting backdrop for these ancient man made cultural relics.
“Amulet Picture”

Amulets gathered around the world on my travels continue to provide inspiration and product for my Stoneprints creations.

I added violet Burmese jade and button white freshwater pearls. The stunning clarity of Brazilian beryl is added to the front and Green jade beads surround the Italian sterling silver clasp.
