Let's See What We Have Here Vintage Stoneprints offers some of the earliest designs by the artist Pamela Brown. The original hundred necklaces were sold under the name Sticks n Stones to recall a tribal homage to nomadic cultures. Contemporary Stoneprints has carried on that mantra with the addition of fine jewelry featuring highly faceted gems.
“Clarity”

Clarity is style number 37 and represents beautifully the blend of culture and artifacts which is central to the Stoneprints mantra. The antique Ethiopian coptik cross is etched and pierced by Africans artisans who handed down teir expertise from generation to generation. The large turquoise chunks are Native American and untreated. The addition of carnelian discs shaped by hand thousands of years ago makes this a true Stoneprints Trade Route piece. The amber stones are from Russia and their colors are creamy and natural. In Egypt these stones were frequently used 400 years ago to pay homage to the Earth. I also placed an Ethiopian triangle silver bead at the back of the necklace to enhance the wearer whether coming or going.The clasp is sterling and the length is handknotted at 28 inches.

A five strand American blue turquoise, lapis, citrine, amber and amazonite necklace featuring ancient silver amulets found in Afghanistan and purchased in Paris. This 24 inch melange of colors harkens back to ancient Egypt and was inspired by the reverence that culture felt for the earth and sky.The sterling clasp is adjustable to shorten or lengthen as needed.

Tumbled stones of blue and coral calcedony provide the hand knotted background for an ancient Tibetan silver pierced stamp in this 20 inch necklace. Six strands culminate with clear crystal beads and a sterling silver sliding clasp.
