"My greatest love with STONEPRINTS designs is to take
a client's favorite heirloom from her jewelry box and create
a necklace that is right for today. I have used beads found in
drawers from long forgotten trips and my clients are thrilled
to be wearing their treasures. The Nevada necklaces began that
way with a coin depicting the GREAT SEAL OF NEVADA. I went to
the Barrick Mines of Elko , NV and asked for solid gold nuggets
which I thought would best represent the spirit of Nevada . I
added lapis for the Nevada blue and my design evolved into the
beautiful treasures that will be going into the Nevada State
Museum . |
In March of 2006, I was commissioned to create a necklace
for a surprise birthday party at the Governors Mansion . The
honoree had devoted countless hours to Nevada and was gifted
with a Stoneprints necklace from her friends and family. I
again chose pearls to reflect a purity of design and to enhance
the seal of Nevada . The pale golden natural color Akoya pearls
were the focal point mixed with black and white freshwater
pearls and citrines. The Gold coin pendant was a powerful statement
piece balanced by the simplicity and grace of the luminous
pearls. The coin has a removable bezel so that the necklace
can be worn casually or formally. A trunk show was also a part
of the presentation festivities and I met many new Stoneprints
Collectors!

My most famous custom order was created in 2004 when Mrs.
Laura Bush made her first campaign stop in Nevada as she began
her tour of the United States . Anticipating her visit and
the momentous meaning for our state, I was inspired to create
a necklace using the Great Seal of the United States as my
inspiration. On the seal the Eagle has a circle of stars around
his head depicting the thirteen colonies. I chose 13 tiny blue
lapis pieces to reflect this theme and added freshwater pearls
in gold and white to complete the four strand choker. When
I presented it to her at dinner, I thanked her for her unselfish
service to all Americans and to the world and expressed my
hope that this necklace would always remind her of the appreciation
we feel for her place in history. |

This photograph of a 2006 trunk show at the Stirling Club in Las Vegas features
the unique necklaces of Stoneprints. Pamela Brown is currently booking design
seminars which include a lecture by the artist on the history of jewelry. The
format includes a custom design proposal and informative materials for each
guest. A similar show was held at Neiman Marcus for the National Governors Association
Conference in Las Vegas in 2004 and included a fashion presentation.
